⚠️ Memory Speed Limitation:
For configurations of 192GB (4×48GB) or 256GB (4×64GB) DDR5 memory,
modules will run at a maximum effective speed of 3600 MT/s. This adjustment is required by CPU and motherboard design limitations and applies universally when all DIMM slots are populated with high-capacity modules.

All other memory configurations run at their maximum rated speeds of 5600 MT/s.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find clear answers to the most common questions about our servers, network, and services. Whether you’re curious about hardware access, setup times, or protection features, this section covers everything you need to know.

With QBitServers, you get control of the physical machine. That means root access on Linux or administrator access on Windows, allowing you to install any software stack, tweak kernel or OS settings, and optimise the system for your specific workload. Unlike shared or virtualised solutions, the server is yours to command.

Our intention is to have all new orders automatically deployed instantly. Our instant-deploy dedicated servers will be provisioned and running in as little as 15 minutes.

However, due to the early access nature of QBitServers, our dedicated server orders are deployed manually. You can expect manually deployed dedicated servers to take up to 12 hours to be activated.

Yes. Every server includes our DDoS mitigation service, QBitGuard Standard. Customers can also in the near future, upgrade to QBitGuard Enterprise Plan.

Our standard plan is backed by 4Tbps+ of Corero Network’s capacity, attacks are stopped at the network edge before they can reach your hardware. This system is specifically optimised for latency-sensitive workloads like gaming servers, so protection won’t come at the cost of lag or packet loss.

All customer’s services hosted on the QBitGuard Standard plan benefit from “On-Demand” Standard Protection at no additional cost (unless otherwise explicitly stated), subject to a fair-usage policy.

Due to the sampled-nature of the “On-Demand” service, it is possible that some very low packet rate attacks may not trigger a redirection. This scenario is where the “Always-On” services are advantageous for 1:1 traffic sampling. QBitGuard Enterprise will included this feature and many more (Coming Q1 2026).

Key Benefits of our DDoS Mitigation Services:

  • Volumetric Edge Mitigation up to 4Tbps, using Juniper Trio 6 MX routers.
  • Granular DDoS Mitigation Up to 1Tbps, powered by Corero SmartWall Threat Detection and Mitigation Appliances.
  • No need for additional physical network ports or GRE tunnels.
  • Minimal increase in network latency.
  • 24/7/365 UK-Based NOC.
  • 99.99% Uptime SLA for QBitGuard Enterprise Subscribers.

Definitely. We offer test IP addresses and a Looking Glass tool so you can run your own ping, traceroute, and throughput tests to our Coventry, UK datacenter. This gives you a real-world view of latency from your location, ensuring that when you go live, your player base or clients will have the lowest possible response times.

We accept major credit/debit cards & bank transfers. This flexibility makes it easy to pay using your preferred method, whether you’re an individual, a business, or an international customer.

By default, all services operate on a simple month-to-month basis. This gives you full flexibility to scale up, down, or cancel at any time. We also offer quarterly, semi-annual and yearly advanced payments, which offer further discounts in return for paying in advance, however choosing to pay in advance commits you to the full payment cycle selected.

Yes. Invoices are automatically generated through our WHMCS billing system. You’ll receive a detailed breakdown of your plan, add-ons, and VAT (where applicable). You can set up auto-pay for peace of mind, or handle payments manually each billing cycle.

Absolutely. Your client dashboard lets you manage multiple servers from a single login. This includes IP allocations, OS installs, billing, and support tickets. It’s designed for resellers, businesses, and power users who need centralised control.

We support a wide range of Linux distributions including Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, and AlmaLinux, as well as Windows Server editions. If you require something more specialised, we also support custom ISO deployments via NanoKVM.

Each server is connected via Active Optical Cables (AOC) with SFP28 interfaces, running into Arista 7160 switches. This setup ensures ultra-low latency, low jitter, and a fully redundant backbone. Our network is built with gaming in mind meaning minimal hops, high throughput, and fast failover in case of any link issues.

Yes. Every server comes with a dedicated NanoKVM PCIe module, accessible through a secure VPN tunnel. This gives you full out-of-band management including BIOS access, power cycling, and OS reinstalls without relying on the operating system. It’s perfect for troubleshooting or recovering a misconfigured system remotely.

All our CPUs are liquid-cooled using the industrial Dynatron L35 AIO systems designed for 2U rackmount enclosures. This ensures sustained performance at peak loads while keeping noise and thermal throttling to a minimum. By controlling temperatures under stress, we extend both server lifespan and stability. Our T500 Gen4 NVMe’s are also cooled using the heatsink variant, ensuring sustained peak transfer rates 24/7 regardless of usage.

We apply a small number of restrictions designed to protect our customers, ensure security, and keep our infrastructure running at peak performance 24/7/365. Customers who bypass or ignore these rules may face suspension or termination of service, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.

As of 1st October 2025, the following restrictions are in place:

  • Motherboard BIOS Access – Locked to protect our optimised settings that ensure longevity and stability.

  • Streaming Content – Strictly prohibited (including IPTV, Emby, Plex, private video hosting, etc).

  • Data Sharing / Seedboxes / Mirroring – Not permitted under any circumstances.

  • Illegal Activities – Absolutely forbidden. Any customer engaging in illegal activity will be reported to the relevant authorities and have their services terminated.

  • Cryptocurrency Mining – Strictly prohibited. Customers found mining will have their services terminated immediately, without warning or appeal. All data will be erased without recovery.

Any future restrictions or amendments will always be communicated to customers by email in advance, providing time to review and adjust usage if needed.

Friendly Note:
We understand this list may seem strict, but please keep in mind our network is purpose-built for gaming workloads (though not exclusively). You are free to use our services for other purposes, as long as they comply with our Terms of Service, acceptable use policies, and all applicable laws.

Yes. All our servers are designed with upgrade paths in mind. You can expand RAM up to 256GB and add additional NVMe Storage upgrades as needed. If you outgrow your current configuration, our team can help with hardware swaps or migrations to keep downtime minimal.

Additional IPv4 addresses are available for purchase and are assigned within your private VLAN. Each dedicated server includes a primary reserved IP, while extra IPs can be allocated as needed for hosting multiple applications or isolated environments. Future growth plans do not include IPv6 due to slow adoption via the gaming industry.

Yes. If you need more powerful hardware, our engineers can assist with migrating your data, services, and IP addresses to a higher-spec server. We work to minimise downtime so your services remain as uninterrupted as possible.
